Arrived in Perth in 1949 (aged 13) with her mother Isabella and sister Teresa to join her father (Salvatore) in Burekup. Married Francesco Italiano in 1953. Moved to Bunbury 1968. Mother of five children, John, Salvatore, Josephine, Isabella, Angela and a foster child, Peter Sergi. Grandmother of fourteen.
