Married in Perth 06/12/1963. Then lived in the UK. Family returned to Perth. Short time on coastal ships then 6 years in the stevedoring industry. Then joined the Commonwealth Lighthouse Service for 15 years, nearly 10 of which was as captain of the MV Cape Don.
