Read their story

Denys established his own business and worked on many buildings supplying and fitting reinforcing steel. Major work included the Perth Entertainment Centre, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, T & G Building, wheat silos in Albany, Geraldton, Tammin and Bunbury, Cape Lambert iron ore processing facility and North West Cape in Exmouth. A san owner operator he carted bluemetal for roadworks in the wheatbelt, in particular around the York and Northam area. Hendrika remained at home raising six children and worked part time at Parliament House.
