Howard also became a builder. After serving in the Boer War, returned to UK & developed a building business in Herefordshire. Herbert, the eldest son joined the army after service in France during WW1 & became Lt Colonel. He lived many years in Sydney. His son Rupert also a Lt. Colonel served in the Artillery and saw service in WWI and in WWII when he was in charge of the batteries at Rottnest Island.

Howard developed a building firm in Hertfordshire - not Herefordshire. He built both the Cinema and parts of the iconic Spirella building in Letchworth Garden City https://docuri.com/download/letchworth-garden-city_59c1e898f581710b286cb...
