Migrated to WA under the Group Settlement Scheme. Two children spent their first 3 weeks in Margaret River Hospital with diptheria. Thought they were coming to a working farm but discovered they had to clear the land first. Edward had been invalided out of the British Navy during WWI due to injuries and became a farmhand.
