Arrived with young daughter Aafje (Eve). A son Peter was born in WA on 3 Feb 1953. Settled in hills east of Perth. A skilled tradesman, Arie worked at the railway workshops in Midland until his retirement in 1982. Travelled extensively throughout Australia over many years enjoying their hobby of collecting gemstones.
