Joseph Holloway arrived at Fremantle on the Merchantman on 15/02/1863. He was an unmarried protestant coal miner, convicted in Winchester in 1857 of larceny and given a 10 year sentence. Allotted convict number 6895 he became a labourer in the Murray district. In 1873 he married Elizabeth Holland. They had twelve children, nine of whom survived.

I don't actually understand how Joseph arrived in Fremantle in 1863. He was born in 1915

That should read "died" instead of "born". 15th of October is actually the date of his death.
