Amasa Hollingsworth arrived as a convict. He received his Ticket of Leave 18 April 1857 and his Conditional Pardon 14 Nov 1862. On the 19th of May 1866 he married irish born Margaret Bain at St George's Cathedral Perth. Together in Greenough he and Margaret raised seven children.
