Charles Holgate loved photography, fishing and nature and was a Royal Naval pole vault champion. Photographer for the Ballarat Courier was his dream job. Marion was a keen gardener and worked for the Ballarat University. Both were very popular. Mark and John still live in Ballarat and Nicky (Porter) lives in Melbourne.
