George emigrated with parents James & Lillian & siblings Eileen & Sheila. He went to school in Katanning, trained as a Bricklayer, served in the Army from 29/06/1940 - 29/10/1945 & moved to Albany in 1946 & started a bricklaying business. He married June Rogers, had two sons, Leslie George b 1953 & Ronald Frank b 1957.
