Isabel 19 & Ruth 15 left Dundee, Scotland departing Liverpool aboard the SS Jason, a Blue Funnel Line cargo ship with 2 steam engines, carrying only 22 passengers. After berthing in Albany the ship traveled on to Newcastle, NSW. Isabel & Ruth came to join their father George Inglis Henderson who had bought a medical practice & a home at 28 Keane Street, Cottesloe in Perth. They traveled The remaining four family members came out the next year. Over 21 day trips cost £120 each.
