Robert Helliwell & family arrived as enrolled pensioner guard for convicts, for military service. Granted 1 acre, Lot P13 North Fremantle. Army service 10 years H.E.I.C 1842 - 1852. Died Yorkshire 1886. Son & family lived on same land until late 1930's.

The son is my grandfather Robert, who emigrated to South Africa before WW11. 4 sons(late) and 1 daughter(late) were sired. Edward(late) the youngest is my Father. Sired 3Sons(Roden, Walter(me), Trevor) & 1Daughter(Lily). My children 1Daughter(Adelaide) 2 Sons(Edward & Fred)

Yes there is a lot of family left around, I’m from the Abercromby branch, Robert Helliwell is my 3x great grandfather. My great grandfather Robert Ralph Abercromby married Ruby Helliwell (the granddaughter of Robert Helliwell in 1910. And we are still in Perth.
