John's sister was Elizabeth Stirk of Kalamunda. John married Jane (Hannah) King on 15/12/1881. John carted sandalwood before pioneering his property "Yearby Banks" in Chittering on 7/6/1883. Children - William, Edward, Lily, George, Mary, Edith, Bertha, Laura, Clara, Evelyn & Eva. John leaves a very long line of proud ancestors.

I am researching my family history and Frederick Stirk is my 1st cousin 4x removed.My great grandmother was Alice Stirk who married James William Firth - they lived in Bramham near Wetherby in Yorkshire, England (I live in York). I am delighted to find a link to Australia and follow this strand of my Stirk ancestors.
