Served with the Coldstream Guards for duration of WWII, rising to rank of Sergeant. had two brothers already living in WA, Douglas Hart and Reginald Hart (both deceased). Married Dorothy Margaret Goodhand from Immingham, Lincolnshire in 1941. Daughter Georgina born 26/12/1951 in Woolwich, London.
