The Harrison Family comprising Dad (Robert Edwin), Mum (Gladys Agnes nee Nickson), Susan Roberta, aged 14 and Robert Simon aged 10 left Heaton Moor, Cheshire. Bob, a member of the British Speedway Team (home team Belle Vue, Manchester) sought the Australian sunshine which he enjoyed when contesting Test Matches.
