Arrived Fremantle in 1897. Moved to Wannamal with two daughters, Annie 5yrs & Rhoda 2yrs. Returned to England for 18 months before coming back, and returned to Wannamal 1902. First trip to Wannamal was behind horse and dray in heat of 40 degrees. Had to shed corsets behind a bush at Chittering due to severe heat rash. Parents of 10 children.
