Read their story

George migrated from Newcastle upon Tyne around 1950 joining four elder siblings in Australia. He was a carpenter and joiner before serving in the Royal Airforce in Britain and abroad during World War II. Sydney and Brisbane is where he spent his full working life. George travelled extensively, proud of his English heritage, but ever loyal to Australia.
