During WWI Mum worked at the National Shell Filling Factory in Chilwell Nottingham. Has a VC Factory Medal, awarded after an explosion. Later became a Machinist. In 1920 came out to an Aunt & Uncle in Kalgoorlie. In 1922 married Amos Roy Smith & had 3 children, 10 grandchildren and 29 greatgranchildren.
