Read their story

Sometime after leaving Norway, Carl Severin Mathiassen Brekke anglicised his name and took his father's surname as is the English custom. The Astracan was a fully rigged merchant ship. It is believed Charles 'jumped' ship when it arrived in Fremantle. 4 years later. Charles settled in South Australia.
