George was the son of John and Grace Hancock, who also came out on the Warrior. George was married in 1839 to Sophia Gregory who also came out on the Warrior. George & Sophia's first son, John (1841/1902) married Mary Swange. Their second daughter, Alma Hancock (1870-1943) married Thomas Anderson Hardie.
