Left Hungary in 1944 and in 1949 migrated to Australia. Employed as mechanic in Northam until 1957 then as technologist by Main Roads Department until retirement in 1989. During this period obtained Diploma's in Applied Science and in Mathematics. Presented several papers on road construction at Australian conferences.
