Margaret Jane Crompton emigrated to Fremantle July 1913 on the BELGIC with the Haltons. Married Edward John Halton November 1914, had seven children and resided at Richmond St., Leederville. One son was born before husband left for war serving AIF. He returned late 1919. 1921-1935 lived in group settlement, Margaret River. Holidayed in England 1972. Died May, 1974 at age 84.

Margaret Crompton(Halton) was my grandmother on my fathers side.My father is Kenneth Halton.She was a lovely person and a hard worker.
