Edward John Halton arrived with his father John Halton Fremantle 1912. Married Margaret Jane Crompton 1914 and had seven children. Enlisted AIF 1916 returning 1919 served in France and Germany, badly shell-shocked and gassed. Returned WA & T gov Railways. Halton family group settlement Margaret River 1921-1935. Returned to Perth, joined WA post office. Died 1977, 77 years.
