Worked in forestry, then went to Uppsala Agricultural College. Came to WA to find younger brother Axel. Bought a farm in Narembeen with brother Axel & two other Swedes, Emil & Carl. After the others left, he married Agnes Kemple (b. 1906, d. 1978). They had two children, Anne (b. 1935) & Neil. Retired to Mandurah in 1959.
