Greetings, as you can see I am also a 'Groffen' being born in den Haag in 1948. My late mother (Debora M Vaz Dias) and late father (Jacobus Dimphinus Groffen) from Bergen op Zoom. Lived in Amsterdam and Landsmeer. We emigrated to Adelaide from Rotterdam on the SS Waterman on 11 Dec 1959. I have my family genealogy on the above web site. I am sure that we must be related somewhere along the Groffen line as it is such a unique name.
