Made his way to South West of WA. Married Gertrude Bosbach in 1929 and had 5 children. Worked in timber mills in Argyle, Darkan, Manjimup, Yallingup, Gelorup and Caplel. 1943 moved to Bunbury where he lived the remainder of his life.
