After arriving in Fremantle, Stipe lived with his brother Jure (George) in Spearwood. He then rented in Fremantle, eventually settling in White Gum Valley, where he still lives today. He married Marija Cek in 1962 & had 3 children, Edward, David & Diana. As a bricklayer he built most of the accomadation on Rottnest Island from
