William was a bricklayer in England & became a shopman in Perth. He employed two T/L men 1854 & 1868 including a warehouseman. Qualified as a juror in 1860 with £150 personal estate. Went to Guildford (as clerk?) in Police Department 1865. Postmaster 1866-1873. Sec of Lodge No 5818. Produced 11 children.
