Pasquale Grandile migrated to Australia to find work and avoid the compulsory military service in Italy. He lived with his brother Giuseppe Grandile who had migrated earlier with his family. He worked as a bricklayer all his life. He married Filomena Cianfagna, also a migrant and had 3 children, Anthony, Sonia and Rosanna.
