Following traumatic experience on return trip to England - 19/07 - 29/10/1914. Father resumed odd job, later joining British Army, serving 4 years, mostly in India. 1928 mother advised to move to warmer climate, family (now including 3 year old Pauline) returned to WA, arriving Christmas Eve.
