Grandfather true pioneer, left homeland & British Army, new adventure in Australia. Arrived with wife & 2 small children, was recalled to fight 1st WW. Returning to Australia, took family to Bridgetown & established fruit orchard. 3 more children born , Elsie, John, Rita, Nancy & Harold. Wife died of cancer when son John 12. Grandad never remarried.
