The young family found the freedom of unspoilt bush surrounding Mongers Lake, a great place to grow up. Hilda married Dick Moore in 1926. Both families had migrated unknowingly, from adjoining towns within months of each other. Built a home in Mt Hawthorn, raising six children - William, Ronald, Leonard, Allan, Doris and Roslyn.
