William and Sarah Gorman lived in Clydebank, Scotland. Their home was bombed in the Clydebank Blitz and they lost all their possessions. After being re-settled in a Clydebank Housing Scheme, their application to migrate to Australia was approved and they sailed to Australia with their three children Alice Mary, Eileen and David. They originally lived in Collie.
