  • Hello , I just came across this page:
    I wondering if this is the same family as John Goodwin, a fitter turner to trade,
    who left England post WW2 for Australia ( Fremantle). Worked at the Big Bell Kalgoorlie In the early 50's.. He and George Vernon left Sidney for Vancouver Canada about 54 or 55. Worked at Britannia Beach mine on Howe Sound just north of VAncouver.. George returned to Scotland in 1960 , but John may have left for Australia about 1958 or 59 .. George is my father , speaks fondly of his days traveling with John who is my godfather. Sometimes Dad has used Bill instead of John ..So I'm not sure of the exact forename ,either or:
