Ida and Harry left their home in Llandudno, North Wales, to join their adult daughters, Carol and Christine, who had migrated to Australia in 1968 and 1970 respectively. Harry was a Regular Soldier in the British Royal Artillery 1936-1958, Ida in Coastal Artillery 1941-1945.
