Upon arrival in WA, the Goodall family from Tolworth, Surrey, purchased seven acres in High Road, Riverton. They set up a poultry farm. George worked at the Chamberlain Industries, Welshpool and Lily ran the poultry farm. The family later moved to Mt Pleasant and when George died, Lily moved to Bateman.
