At 15 years Antonietta sailed with sister Teresina (13 years) to join their father Michele (arrived 1927) leaving their mother Maria who followed in 1949. Antonietta worked as a nanny and at Law's Cake Shop in Perth. She married Giovanni Calabrese and has five children. Her cooking skills are renowned.
