Settled in Manjimup with children, Isabella and James (Elizabeth born 1930). Came to Australia with Group Settlement Scheme, however no land was available, so he worked as a labourer (even travelling to wheatbelt for work). Joined Forestry Department, working with the big timber until an accident left him unfit for heavy work. Joseph worked for the local government in Manjimup until retirement.
