Joze married his wife Ljubica Cecic in 1940. They purchased land in North Beach Road, Gwelup, where they established a market garden. They later became owners of a Caltex Service Station at the North Beach Road & Karrinyup Road intersection. Joze & Ljubica had three children, Valma, Goyko & Jonnie
