Elizabeth Gilkes, a World War II widow, and six children - Thomas 17, Maggie 13, Elizabeth 11, Robert 9, Walter 7, Edith 4, arrived on the "Zealandic" in January 1921. On arrival the family was accommodated at the Immigrant Home in South Fremantle. South Fremantle was her home until she passed away 1963.
