My father was a signalman in the British Army. My parents travelled to Australia as part of the Soldier Settlement Scheme from the UK. Group No.127. Did not settle, came to Perth where my father worked on the switchboard at the GPO until about 1934, then as labourer until 1939 & back to the army.
