Concetta Giaquinta aged 24 left Sicily with 4 year old Maria to join husband arriving Fremantle 1929. Gave birth to Filippo and Francesco, battled through depression, widowed at 44. Found domestic work to support her family. Maria now employed was able to contribute. Concetta died 1999, aged 95.
