Initially cut timber on the woodline with his brother Erminio who had arrived a year before. He then established a cartage business and lived in Lake Street, Perth. In 1938 he married Ida Flematti and had three children, Caroline, John, and Robert. Moving to Learoyd Street Mt Lawley where he died.
