Constantinos Ghemitzis migrated from Halkidiki, Greece to Australia at the age of 25 leaving behind his parents and four siblings. In Greece, Constantino's family worked the land. In Australia he met and married Stavroula Gotsis, living in Mount Lawley. Together they had three daughters, Helen, Sevasti, Ioanna and five grandchildren.
