Fiercely devoted to her only child, John Robert Gerrish, Norah (called Cissie) insisted on migrating to Australia with husband Bob, after their son migrated to Australia in 1966 to marry. Both spent their remaining years in WA, with many trips back to England to visit Cissie's wide family circle.
