Born in Apatin 90% ethnic German town of 15,000. March 1945 taken to Krushewlje. A notorious Ethnic Extermination camp. Survived 3 years of hell, lost father, sister and many relatives. Fled to Austria via Hungary 2.5 years in Displaced Persons camp, then learnt bricklaying. Married 1958, now have 2 adult sons and 4 grandchildren. Very happy to be Aussie!
