He was brought out bound for seven years to Henry Camfield, with his wife Frances and daughter Mary Ann. A son Frederick was born on board the Caroline. Frederick (Snr) was drowned when with a strong breeze blowing he fell of the flat at Point Walter while he and Camfield were sailing with provisions to Burswood.
