Worked as a sleeper cutter, farm labourer, and gold prospector during the Depression. Was joined by son-in-law Domenico Garuccio in 1949 and wife and daughter in 1951. Settled in Busselton and began dairy farming and potato growing. Daughter and grandson and great grandchidren live in Perth and the South West
