Travelled with mother & sister. Father had arrived some years earlier. Settled in Morawa & moved to Fremantle as a teenager. Worked as waterside worker & later became a successful race horse trainer. Met wife Selina (Sally) while working at Mills & Wares, Fremantle. Married in Nov 1948 & had two daughters, Jennifer & Tessa. Six grandchildren.
