Rose Caroline Fowles nee Kirkum was the war widow of William Henry Fowles. She came to Australia to start a new life with her only child William George Fowles. Rose met Ernest John Holbrook on the Orsova's journey and later married him in Fremantle. See Ernest's entry for further details.
